From Dunedin we travelled to Invercargill and then on to Bluff. Bluff sits at the south end of the south island. The town has a giant aluminum plant which is the reason a power plant was built in Fiordland. It was cold and windy when we arrived and never warmed up. Still it is worth the drive.

We drove up Bluff hill. From the top you get a great view of the surrounding area and Stewart Island. We did not visit Stewart Island, but Bluff is the jumping off point for visiting the island.
